I meet my significant other on Facebook!

A funny thing happened to me recently… I was at home in Birmingham and my friend called and she said that she this guy. And I asked her where the heck did she meet him, and she told me that he randomly added her on Facebook, and they started talking from there. Now initially I was not to cool with the idea of her meeting someone on Facebook, but I realized that every person who has a social network profile is crazy, I’m not crazy and I have one as well. She showed me his profile, and from what he had on his page he seems like a very nice young man. He was very involved on his campus, had a nice profile pictures, and I could understand why she would instantly be attracted to him. And by seeing his profile it made me feel a little at ease when she would talk to him. So as time goes on they continue to talk on Facebook’s online instant messenger. I guess they kind of got to know one another on that, mainly finding out their main interests, likes and dislikes and seeing how well they each can hold a conversation. She got to the point where she stayed on Facebook 24/7 just hoping that he would be online, and became slightly obsessed. Finally he asked for her number and they have recently started talking on the phone…they haven’t meet just yet, but I’m really excited to see where this is going, and also to hopefully prove to people that Facebook could be the next Match.com.
